A bit richer than expected for Aligote. Much like Chardonnay in Cotes de Nuits vs Beaune. Tangerine and grassy

Aligote dance, tiptoe light, whispering hey bud, this aint Chardonnay. Crispier, fresher. Grassy floral nudges with pear and golden yellow apple core. High acid mineral content without a hint of oak. Simple, well assembled, maybe a shuffle left and half-step shy of expectation.

I can’t say this about any other varietal, but when I drink Aligote, I want it blown out, fleshy and in your face. This fits the bill perfectly, and still maintains that jaw locking acidity. Fun.

Unusual flavor profile for a Burgundy. Predominantly grass with some citrus. The fruit is there, but not easily identifiable. Hint of licorice at the finish.
