Ruby color. Mostly translucent. Looks young. Bright fruit forward nose. Notes of raspberries, ripe rhubarb, dark soil, Asian spice and some briary brush. A bit tough in the mouth. Structure and acidity is bigger than remaining fruit. But this wine is all about the great nose.

Deep, dark red color with reddish-orange rims. Great exotic nose with notes of cherries, rhubarb, Asian spice, dark soil, raspberries, cola and some cedar wood. The nose is replicated in the intensity of the fruit in the mouth, with softened tannins and nice structure. Over 5 hours, this delivered a great old red burg and Vosne experience.

Raspberry tawny in the glass, translucent. Bright aromatic nose. Notes of red fruit, rhubarb, Asian spice, dark moist soil and a hint of menthol. Big and round in the mouth, but still has an edge - even with 3 hours of air. Has a lot going on for it, yet I’ve found that this wine was more extravagant and inspiring a few years back, and not as much in the last year or two.

Scarlet tawny and translucent. Killer nose. Notes of Asian spice, raspberries, red cherries, white pepper, moist black soil and some menthol. Rich and powerful in the mouth. Fruit and structure are nicely balanced. Lasting finish. This wine continues to perform above its pay grade.

Poured into a decanter at a restaurant and then consumed. Dark bright tawny. Great Vosne nose. Notes of black cherry, menthol, raspberry, earth, spice and some kirsch. Great rich fruit. Luscious. With more air the body grew and the finish became bigger. Great stuff

Tawny purple, opaque. With 3 hours of air the nose blossomed and exhibited the grace and power of a great Vosne. Notes of black cherries, Asian spice, some menthol, dark moist black soil, some sandalwood and a little rose petal. This powered up with air and showed its stuff over several hours of consumption. Great wine.

Reddish tawny color. Vibrant in the glass. Direct nose with notes of raspberries, rhubarb, asian spice and moist black soil. At first, more structure than fruit. But with 6+ hours of air a sweetness develops and softens the harsher notes, making this more voluptuous. Was singing loudly at the end of the shindig!

Tawny color, vibrant, translucent. Crazy exotic nose. Notes of raspberry, rhubarb, Asian spice, stone, moist soil and some menthol. Very Vosne. Great mouth feel, “goes to the pleasure center of the brain” as ST once wrote. I’ve had this bottle maybe 8-10 times and this was as good or better than before. Great stuff

Tawny purple. Almost opaque. Super nose with the Vosne spice prevalent right away. Notes of rhubarb, black cherry, Asian spice, wet soil and a little menthol. Rich and textured in the mouth. The experience blossoms as the wine got more air over several hours. As I think Tanzer wrote about this wine, it hits the pleasure center of the brain. Everything you want in a red burg.

Amber tawny color, dark but translucent. Aromatic nose with notes of raspberry, rhubarb, Asian spice, moist earth and a little menthol. Great fruit with structure to match, but slightly short of the emotion of the 82 Ducru sitting next to it. Still, this is a great wine. Love the Arnoux Suchots. UPDATE: with more air (open 5* hours) this blossoms in a bigger way. Huge nose and crazy burg funk.
