Any producer that can somehow bring sadomasochism into wine should be congratulated. I had this several years ago and it’s interesting how it’s changed. It’s become more brutish, pun intended. it’s a bigger wine. In the past I loved it’s cinnamon notes and lighter texture but now it feels like there’s more Syrah or perhaps global warming has just caught up to it. Berkshires buy, from the summer.

On the nose: driving through a valley of violets on an overcast day after the first spring rain in a brand-new, leather seat, convertible with the top down, blissful.

Less fruit and more of a mineral earth nose. Great food wine with a touch of the animal on the palate. Telltale sanguine character on the finish. Couldn't think of a better wine with roasted chicken and root vegetables. Out of 1.5L, as it should be.
