Remembering rewarding this wine from the 2010 vintage a 3-digit score. This might well get there as well, but as it was bottled last week; not yet. Shy, yet intense aromas where crushed summer berries and pronounced minerals take centre stage. Almost explosive on the palate where sweet tannins counterbalance rich fruit, pan fried herbs and iron like minerality. Fresh, long and layered finish. Pretty astonishing, actually. 97+

Big, uber ripe Chateauneuf from a great producer and a great vintage. Almost all Grenache (95+ %) from 110 year old vines aged in concrete vats. Extremely concentrated and complex - blackberry jam, crushed rock and spice. Tannins are beautifully smooth even at this young age. The finish lingers forever. The ABV is very high at 15%, but the wine has the concentration to balance it. 2015 vintage on Jan 11, 2019
