Y’all probably know by now that I’m a fan of rosé. Anytime, anywhere, with any food. It’s one of the most satisfying wines around. But I’m kind of picky when it comes to rosé. It’s gotta have energy. It’s gotta have lift. It’s gotta have ACIDITY. While I might catch some flak for this, I’m just gonna say it. There is no surer bet in the world of pink wine than Corsican rosé. I’ve never met one I didn’t like. Hell, I’ve never met one where I didn’t immediately want a second bottle. So whenever it crosses my path, I grab it. By the glass, by the bottle, by the case. This little beauty (from the Isle of Beauty, no less) was made by Eric Poli, and comes from organically farmed (uncertified) vines on the east side of the island near Eric’s hometown. Made from Sciaccarellu, an indigenous red to the island that makes just stunningly bright rosés. Citrus skin, strawberry, dried flowers and grapefruit are layered over wet stone minerality that is just gorgeous.

This is a delicious French rose that acts more like like an Italian/Sangiovese rose, plus a great QPR. Subtle cherry and berry and on the dry side. Not getting acid or astringency in this vintage that some reviewers noted in other years. Really enjoyable for the spring. Highly recommended.

Too tangy. But I still like it enough.

Not great- some citrus upfront but acidic and sharp down the throat. Maybe air will help. In fact if got better over time and air. Still a bit acidic but now rounder in the mouth. Changed from 8.1 to 8.5
