Decanted 4 hours and consumed over 2 consecutive nights. This is youthful and very reminiscent in style to the ‘05. Enticing aromatics of strawberry and toffee. Really fleshy and full of red fruit and subtle oak. A wee bit of tannic bite and not a lot of length yet but performing extremely well in its relative infancy. I’d hold but if you open you’ll undoubtedly enjoy it, especially with ample air.

Yes a Grand Cru. Not that interesting really. See also my notes on the 2010 Magnum. Faint cherry. Quite acidic tart Morello. Not worth the space in my cellar. And I doubt it will ever be special.

From Magnum. Surprisingly boring. Earthy nose, cloves. Morello cherry, black tea, not that much fruit, chalky, allspice? Might need more time. In this case a generous soul bought the bottle but I need to revisit my own 750’s. I am not sure if they deserve space in my cellar. Obviously expensive.

A standout??? After the sulfur blows off blueberries. Relative tart should be more mellow at this stage. Is it closed? Yes a Grand Cru but today not my favorite the Millandes from the same year and producer was better.
