A lovely robust blend from the Languedoc of 40% Grenache and 60% Syrah which represent a good value for money. This blend has a deep almost black purple color, an intense concentrated nose of black cherries, cooked plums, cloves, licorice and vanilla, a full robust body with chewy tannins and supporting acidity. The wine is full of fruits and lavish tannins, it has a long chewy finish and is full of character. My score 89, drink to 2021 .

Cloudy light raspberry colored. The nose is a little leezy with tones of smoked bacon, soy, baked bread, straw, and coffee. The palate shows more fruit with dark cherry & pomegranate, but also some savory characteristics of cured meat, smoked bacon and toast. Seems a tad closed right now - maybe decant to get some more fruit exposed in the nose or open in another year or two.

Brilliant acidity, excellent mouthfeel. Winemaker must have ridden a horse through the vineyard and cave.

Sweetness from Strawberry and forest flavor. Enough concentration from Gevrey’s terroir. 2016 @3150, xiaduo - ET, 211104

Ample aroma overflowing from my glass. Deep strawberry and forest flavor. Comfortable tanning. Balanced acidity. Firstly feel rich, but later on getting decreasing, well balanced. But aroma is getting concentrated instead. 1 hour is peak This feature should be enjoyed in large size of Bourgogne glass. @2600, KPing - XH, 200219-200619

Still a very robust wine. Not in the least past its prime. There’s a lot of fruit left, but there’s also a lot of oak., even after 26 years. This has dried out the wine a little bit. Don’t make too much out of my criticism. The wine is very enjoyable, so the bottle was finished without any complaints from my friends at the table.
89/100.

Dommage qu’une pointe de liège ait gâché le plaisir car derrière il y avait sûrement un grand vin ( touché de bouche sublime)
