Domaine Philippe & Vincent Jaboulet
Ermitage Syrah
Blackberry, cassis, vanilla, coconut, dark chocolate, smoked ribs, forest floor, graphite, game, leather, sweet baking spices. Such an oak bomb but with loads of grilled meaty ashy charcoal. Wet crushed dark stones. Guilty pleasures.

Feb 19th, 2024Lots of bottle variation in the bottles I've had of this but this one was very nice. A mediocre Hermitage=a damn good wine. @Jared Cocke if you have any left drink up.

Mar 10th, 2015Clear, eep ruby color with tears. Nose: clean, medium high intensity, developing aroma of floral, violet, red fruits, light oak. Palate: dry, high acidity, medium high but smooth tannin, mid alcohol, medium high body, medium high intensity of spice, violet, red fruits with medium long finish. Very good wine, ready for further aging
