Cuvée Oligocène Bourgogne Blanc Chardonnay

Overachiever for an entry level white. Almond, hazelnut, Creme Fraiche, acacia, white peach, melon, yellow apple, savory herbs, and some minerality. Elevated acidity. Creamy mouthfeel. 13% abv.

Affordable Meursault if such a thing exists. Round and bright. Drinking beautifully in my NYC home.

Blind tasting I defy you to guess less than a 1er Cru Meursault. I was reaching for the Roulot but my sommelier suggested this instead.

Always have this in cellar. Never fails to impress. Like another reviewer I believe this is easily 1er Cru quality. Lovely balance of fruit and minerality. Low in oak ie not buttery for a Meursault.

Sunday roast chicken isolating for COVID. BAM. Delicious full bodied Bourgogne for a favourite producer. Super seductive soft fruits with mineral structure. Great soft perfume peachy, flowering, stoney brilliance. The bottle disappeared.

Scents of peach, cantaloupe and honeysuckle and yellow hues in color. Almost impeccable amount of acidity indicates aging potential

This is about the most straight-forward white wine I have ever tasted. No frills, no gimmicks, just straight wine. Not too sweet, not too dry, and perfectly fruity. If you like tasting the grape in your wine, this is the white for you. Simply savorable.
