Barriques Alsace Pinot Blanc

This was proposed as an alternative to the Abymes and South African Chenin and Mendocino Pinot Blanc I tried to order, all of which were out of stock. I saw the Kermit back label and said yes.
Pale yellow green. Aromas of green plum, cherry and a hint of almond. Seems off dry, which it may be, but also the barriques...
Pretty good w brandade (overdone truffle oil) and grilled asparagus salad.

Flashback to school lunch canned pear juice runoff! Nice round texture. Inviting.

Cork matches the wine. Not a fake. Really nice with a roast chicken. Weighty, fruity, just a little sweet.

Great producer, great importer, boring wine. I'm glad it doesn't happen often.

Great purity of fruit and energy, but the influence of barrique is surely atypical.

Great weight. A bit heavier but also racy

The red fruit is unripe, with a cranberry-like bite. Good food wine

2018- crisp and clean, dry on the palate, perfect on this hot day.
