Les Champs Martins Mercurey 1er Cru Pinot Noir

So easy to love this feminine Pinot. Strawberries, smoke, dried cherries, violets, lavender, and clove. Great acid. Long and persistent finish that fades into a light sour cherry and pomegranate.

Beautiful. Brought back from last trip to Burgundy. Smoky young red Cherry. Touch of coffee in finish. Clean, but with a nice loam.

All secondary and tertiary. Kind of like liquid chorizo

Baked apples & cinnamon with a hint of wool. Pretty rocking good stuff

Leather, dust, nutmeg and berries. Sticky mouth, a little greasy. Lingers slowly on the dry side, enveloping the dull mouth and lips.

Another wine I just couldn’t stop smelling or drinking, this went quick. Cherry, black raspberry, mushroom and funk. Drinking well now should be fantastic in a few years.

Very easy to enjoy, bright and beautiful with sour cherry as main character on palate.

A touch darker and richer fruit than he Clos Tonnerre. Oodles of charm if not a ton of complexity. This is more more gourmand, but the Clos Tonnerre is more complex. Again, great value.
