The first of a bracket of 3 x Corton Rouge at the 2016 Grand Cru tasting. Ironically before the tasting a few of us were discussing how underwhelming Corton Rouge tends to be and that maybe they should plant the lot to Chardonnay. WELL! How wrong can you be. This was the best bracket of Corton Rouge in 4 years of attending these tastings. All tasted blind. The Meo had a lovely spicy nose of red fruits. Fresh - 10% whole bunch. The palate was of palate staining intensity and amazing length. All 3 in this bracket shared that.
