It’s just under the 2 hour mark in the decanter when it absolutely takes off. Reduction moves aside and intense aromas of dark fruit, rose petals and exotic spices soar from the glass. There is great depth and concentration, nothing lean about this wine from the vintage.

It has such energy and drive on the palate, asserting all of its complex flavors before a seamless transition to its lifted, lengthy and mineral driven finish. Very approachable in its early stages with sufficient air. I love Meo’s wines in what are considered leaner and more “elegant/lighter” vintages. I think it balances and accentuates their style beautifully.

The wine is a beauty with so much substance and layers but it was clearly not yet ready. Oak is very prevalent and not yet integrated. Although 2009 is often a very forward and open-knit vintage, this baby needs much more time to integrate.

Young but showing effortless grace and class. A true vin de garde

Profound. Really expresses the ripeness of the 2002 vintage. The texture is out of this world

2007. Stupidly lovely. Elegant fruit, light tannins; drinking, but still young and fresh.

Really nice to resolve tannins expected more tanning but it just wasn't there. This one's in a good space.
