Having my dessert first. Co-fermented field blend of Alsatian varietals. Viscous texture, plenty of sweet flavors of course but not to the point of being cloying. Honey cake, dried apricot, orange, acacia, a little petrol and botrytis, acid is not front and center but playing a strong supporting role to hold things together

Golden color. Nose and flavors of flowers, honey, white and tropical fruits. Great mouth feel and long finish. Needs a touch more acidity for balance. Seems quite sweet. Fascinating wine that just keeps evolving thru the meal. Pretty high geek quotient.

May 6th, 2015Really great stuff. Tropical and white fruits with a bit of peeled banana. Seems quite sweet but with great mouth feel and length. For me, slightly out of balance, with a bit more acidity in order. Still wonderful and a hoot to drink with 2 people who had never had his wines.
Pan sautéed fresh halibut over cous cous with sautéed aromatics.
