Rich and textual but with enough acid to keep it all moving on the palate.

Another Grand Cru from my favorite Alsacian producer.
Poura yellow, I get canary melon, botrytis honey comb, passion fruit, lychee.
Just slightly off dry, the acids have a mustard like quality. (the area is surrounded by mustard fields and I swear that I can smell and/or taste mustard greens/flowers in many wines of Berckem). Follows up with roasted apple flavors, and an incredible clean but long finish.
I wish I could open a bottle of this every night.

Showing grand Cru for sure...and at a tiny price point. With little attention given to the wine the taster will think this is off-dry, but it really is the opulent unctuous character of this grand Cru that endows this wine with serious breadth. Lacking acidity that would really keep it engaging throughout the bottle but that's okay just keep it at a frigid temp and all will be okay. Richness and opulence are major overtones.
