Nothing too complicated nothing too deep, just an utterly enjoyable 'quaffing' red. Serve lightly chilled and gulp it down.

Great value in village level Beaujolais with a very typical Gamay nose of leather, smoke, and earth which also come through on the palate with a dose of added spice from a little stay in oak foudres. Old vines, delicious, restrained and all you can ask for at this price.

Solid young-tasting wine, slightly metallic with notes of berries.

Not sure if I've had many BV wines, so I'm riding blind here. Not much on the nose, some hidden earth and floral notes maybe? Taste is all bright cherry tartness, followed by rich blackberry and a mild tannic finish. Rides high in acidity at first and then mellows into the softer tannins. Quite light and easy to drink.

Need to try again—had it a while ago—but I remember it being solid, maybe the best Beaujolais villages yet at this price range.

Pleasantly smooth and tastes aged beyond the vintage. Delightful all around red
