Domaine Louis Max
Corton Grand Cru Pinot Noir
This wine was a real thinker. Tons of bret in the beginning, covering up any sort of fruit or pleasurable flavors. After about an hour one could see the potential, but still too much Bret to decipher the essence of the wine. After about 8 hours I tried the wine again for shyzas and giggles, expecting the wine to have completely fallen apart. But surprisingly, most of the bret had blown off and I could finally taste the core of the wine. Typical dense, earthy, dried raspberry, burgundy flavors.... Tasted old, but not 65 years old. Drinkable
