Vieilles Vignes Chambolle-Musigny Pinot Noir

This and a ribeye made for a great Saturday night off! Lovely layers of dark and red fruit and plenty of earthy deliciousness!! Still a baby I’m sure it will age beautifully. Wish I had another bottle 😍

A charming and well made Chambolle that expresses more savoy non-fruits than forward fruit character. Wild black raspberry, crushed rocks, smoke, wet moss, warm spices, wet flowers, almost this slightly menthol/eucalyptus note. The tannins are silky in nature but with an almost rustic edge to them and linger about. Gave a very nice impression after a 2 hour drinking window. To me a solid Village Chambolle with enough concentration and layers to make for a very enjoyable wine. Day 2: singing! Much more forest floor and smokey tones coming through. Palate has broadened out.

Not even my favorite wine from Virgile, but so well balanced.

Perfumed and silky. Black olive and plum. Rich texture, a little flat.

Super high on the delicious meter! Enhanced by our company.

Dark cherry, plum, clove w peppery finish. Best of the night.

2010 chambolle-musigny lignier Michelot.

Pretty hard to beat for the money with classic Chambolle lines and perfume without chunk nor excess.
