New producer for me. Surprised by the density & concentration. Deep blue fruits. Barrel aged, another surprise. Almost like Brouilly meets Morgon. Also, a relative QPR at 20$

Very solid and prototypical Côte de Brouilly. Nose is zesty with lots of crushed granite dust and crunchy wild berry fruit. A little unexpected sprinkle of cinnamon. In the mouth it’s mineral and a little animal too, with the fruit there but in equilibrium with the first two characters. Great value at around $22.

Raspberry jam, dried violets, and plum skin. The darker side of Beaujolais.

Wow. Beautiful, beautiful Brouilly! Blues, black plums, dried herbs and Indian spices. Silky and plush. Helluva way to end the weekend and start the week!
