More like a shrub, first sip and it goes off in your mouth - and you're wondering why you even opened it. And then the long cherry-like finish catches up with you and you're on your way to another glass.

Pineau d'Aunis, my favorite grape (one of). This falls short. At least in comparison to my faves.

Smells like when you pull a root vegetable out of the ground and it has all the dirt still on it (plus some red fruit). Light, fruit, earth, excellent acid. Quaffable.
