Dark ruby color. Blend of Grenache (50%), Syrah (30%), Carignan (10%), Mourvèdre (5%) and Cinsault (5%). Aromas of dark soil and dark fruit. Blackberry, dark plum and black raspberry flavors with hints of menthol, minerals and smoke. Long finish (touch of salinity) and quite complex. Bold and full bodied but well balanced. Excellent QPR!

What a great surprise! And much to my chagrin, I can't remember where I got this. Very plummy, concentrated, perhaps out of style for a French wine. The 15% alcohol is a bit heavy-handed, which makes me think this was made for the US market (and perhaps why I'm liking it so much)
