Nicely aged Southern Rhône Grenache. Pretty full at 14.5% abv. I had it open for about 3 hours, but it stayed a bit astringent and strongly tannic. Didn’t quite blossom, but still a good winter red. Lots of sediment- the last glass was mostly undrinkable.
Follow up on the second bottle: The fruitiness opened up much more, but still a lot of sediment at the end. Was best on day 3.

This big dude is finally turning the corner. Still slightly acidic when you first open, but gets going like a champ after about 30 mins. Incredible display of plush Grenache. Full.
