Fill was about 65%. Expectations were low. Stunning. Gorgeous fruit. Acid present and still showing life. Truly epic.

A strange wine, a slightly jumbled assemblage in terms of aromatics, chocolate, blackberries, some earth, but somehow discordant. It is a reasonably rich wine, but seemingly lacking in complexity, a hollow mid palate, some licorice and cherry notes try to restore interest along with some nicely dusty tannins, but it seems to flail again on a finish that has numerous elements that never seem to quite harmonize.
