Domaine Leroy
Bourgogne Aligoté
Such a beauty. Such clarity and dimension. Best of the 2009-2011 trio enjoyed over the past couple months, shows the strong vintage with balance, cut, energy. Not my top Aligotè, but Leroy rarely disappoints me.

Sep 19th, 2016Funky and earthy up front. Lively and broad but not too complex. If only Leroy made more wine in my price range.

Dec 6th, 2015I'm not geeky enough yet to understand Aligote.

Dec 21st, 2013This is a wine that defines “mineral” in taste. White peach, almond aromas with similar flavors framed by a very dry finish that can best be described as licking rocks. For Aligote, this is great.

Apr 1st, 2018Slightly smoky, matchstick, pear, caramel aromas transition to clean, crisp, honeyed, mineral flavors. Improves with air. A tasty glass of wine!

Sep 12th, 20172010 vintage. Very interesting. It has a very distinct cherry note throughout the whole taste — I even feel like it can be confused with some simpler red Bourgogne on the nose. Cherry juice on the palate, with some stone fruit, limestone, a bit of lychee and just a touch of gasoline. Very enjoyable acidity, has years of life left in it, even from an off vintage.
