Out of magnum on the beach... First full of oak and luscious fruit , after two hours open the minerality kicked up a notch and was reaally tasty

Perfect union of two wine taster truths. 1) the best bottles are mispriced restaurant wine list bottles. 2) the best bottles to pay outrageous restaurant markups on are older white burgundies cause they wear the premox risk. Rare and perfect union of the two tonight in St. Louis where a 2009 leflaive les combettes was purchased for a price well below auction or lowest retail. Not the slightest sign of premox. Was actually delicious and characteristically leflaive. Not sure it has the acidity to make it 10 more years but for near term consumption it was really excellent. #bigwin #leflaive #deal

Lemon color. Stone, yellow apple and a touch of oak. Medium+ body, great acidity and long finish. Great showing.
