Corked. How many ways can this disappoint.

Lovely gentle lemon with seashells on the nose. There’s a real warmth to this in the core- lovely honeyed fruit with good tension and a long, long finish. A lovely wine.... 30 mins later, this has expanded and is really open and lush. Wow

Great zesty nose of intense lemon oil, and some lifted minerality. The palate is focused and racy with deep citrus and seashells. This goes on and on, and is really lovely

Second bottle. This is better. Lifted lemony fruit and a thrilling electric spine, underpinned by hefty floral, saline and puckery ripe fruit. Excellent

Darker than expected. Full and a bit tangy. Advanced in what I’d expect. This bottle needs drinking but clearly profound juice.

This is the back up bottle. Soaring lemon fruit with slate and limestone and bright floral notes. Searing and lifted light fruit with real depth and linear body. Great structure. Glorious, and a long time ahead

Corked-but you can taste through it. Would have been lovely.

Tasted blind. Medium gold and like motor oil in the glass. Notes of lemon, lime blossoms, white stone and a little vanilla. Very glycerol in the mouth. Great balance of acidity against the fatness of the fruit. Long finish. I guessed 90 Bonneau du Martray CC.
