Medium gold in color, slightly darker than the 86 Bonneau du Martray next to it. Heavy in the glass. Sweet floral nose. Notes of sweet kiwi fruit, lemon curd, apple cider and white acacia flowers. Lacked acidity at first but with many hours of air this powered up. Last sip was the best. I preferred the other whites to this, but was happy to see this improve so much during the evening. We discussed this being Vincent Leflaive’s last vintage, and sadly this was the last bottle in my cellar of 86 Leflaive. (Bday 4 of 12)

Medium gold. Heavy in the glass. Has an oxidative note right off the bat, but its likely reduction that softens with some air. Very rich wine with with a big core of fruit, but clearly older in terms of structure and not at its apex anymore.

Medium gold color, heavier than the BdM. Some sort of Apple cider thing in the nose hinting there's a flaw. Kind of dusty in the mouth with pear and petrol notes. We put it aside and checked on again hours later and the wine came around. Enjoyable old Leflaive and fortunate we were patient.

Fruit forward nose and lively fruit in the mouth. Acidity and structure is there but it's subtle. The fruit wins out. Med finish. Still in a great drinking window and no need to wait longer on this.
