I decanted this for about an hour. Took an opening sip, and another sip at half an hour. It’s interesting how it opened up from something that was thin and lightly fruity to something with much more depth and firmness to it. I wouldn’t exactly call it powerful, but it’s a very concrete Pinot Noir example. Not perfumed but good solid flavors of firm fruit, not ripe, with a light touch of spices and good structure. I’m still digesting this one, I don’t have a lot of experience in burgundy.
