I’ve had now the La Boutanche wines from three producers and the ones from Le Sot de l’Ange are far and away my favorites. This Pet Nat is really well spun prioritizing thought and patience over rush to market. A mix of Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. It has great effervescence with yellow apples, baking spice, and yeast. Surprisingly polished.

Jun 9th, 2020The second vintage I’ve tried from the Le Sot De L’Ange Pet Bat contribution to the La Boutanche project. It’s, like last year, extremely good and a clear step above the other winemakers. A steal at $20. Vanilla biscuit m sourdough and lemon. No extreme turns this year.
