Domaine Le Seurre
Finger Lakes Cabernet Franc

Aromas and flavors of cherry, tobacco, vanilla and smoke. Slight touch of a green vegetal element but not as much as expected. Large amount of volatile acidity and relatively short finish. Light to medium bodied. Bright cherry red color. Augmented? Just as good the second day. Reasonable wine.

Mar 22nd, 2021B-/b. Ok. Hard to identify the signature green pepper aroma and flavor. Medium minus body. Lumpy structure.

Nov 19th, 2016Cherry, tobacco, and smokiness on the palate. Medium body. Solid cab franc, better as it breathed and showed well 2nd day. Overall lack of concentration. Enjoyable but didn't love it. Would be curious to try another vintage.

This amazing 2012 Cab Franc is from a fairly new and small winery on Keuka Lake. We had the privilege of meeting the husband and wife makers and owners, who come from a long line of winemakers in France. They were extremely friendly and very intelligent, eager to share the different processes and cares that go into their select wine. Amazing experience!
