Another gorgeous 21 from Boussey. Awesome nose full of cherries. Exuberant and expressive. Palate is just. oceans of concentrated sweet mid season cherry fruit that is so succulent and delicious. Clean, sappy, pure and balanced. There are tremendous values in Burgundy if you know where to look. Joy in a bottle.

Jul 17th, 2023Another 19 Boussey banger. Sweet red cherry, almost raspberry and lovely deep, earthy and stoney notes. Pungent and deep aromas. Really compelling stuff here. I love 19. And Boussey really did a great job. Really sweet fruit and great amplitude on the palate with focus and precision. Just terrific concentration and juiciness. Dense and fresh. Elegant. Ripe. Long. This is terrific wine for its level and in general.

Jan 19th, 2023Nose has spicey and sweet red cherries. Cherries covered in spices. Superb depth but also a lot of hidden depth. Very very nice but has more to reveal. Smells tighter and more serious than the Hauts Brins. Palate is so elegant almost like a Volnay. Serious structure as well and so pure. This needs air and will only improve. Long finish with terrific clarity of cherry fruit. Lovely delineation and so fresh. This is deep and structured and has a very persistent finish. Wonderful. I’ll be back as this has 9.4 written all over it.
Starting to get really fragrant. Wow such a wide spectrum. Really floral now. Spectacular. Superb mid season red cherry fruit and spice. So sapid.
So juicy, silky and sapid after 4 hours. Like a baby Volnay. Terrific structure for short term aging.
