Les Meurgers Meursault Chardonnay

Nose of smoke, sandalwood, dusty woodshop shavings. tree bark, some butter, some discreet wood, apple tart and phyllo dough. Great complexity. Rich, dense, chewy and so energetic. Oily but acidic. Love the texture and explosive mineral finish

Always a great bottling. Nose of butter, minerals, sea air, some rich but restrained oak, such a nice melange. Nutty, salty, so deep. This is always such a classic expression of Meursault. Palate is dense, chewy and almost tannic with awesome intensity and freshness. So textured and long. Buttery, dense apple fruit and such incredible explosiveness. A brilliant vintage for this.

Spicey and floral, really high toned and bright, stunning nose, elegant, dense, concentrated and fresh, chewy and bright. Wow this is vivid. wondrous purity and depth .

Electric, elegant and so much finesse. Just magic.

This is in the good place. Oak but so well integrated. Rich, buttery and evocative. Gorgeous depth and salinity adds complexity. Outrageous. Palate is nervy, tense and opulent but with razor sharp acids and lovely complex intense minerality. Boussey is a gem. Closed a bit on the finish but will spread its wings with air. A very outstanding bottle. The finish is expanding and this wine has a serious core and very long finish. Great concentration.

Stunning nose. More mineral and discreet than the VV. Still has that classic Boussey buttery richness. Grilled nuts and wonderful salinity. Bright. Citrus as well. Very provocative nose. Tree bark. Lovely nuance to this nose. Juicy and so energetic with stunning delineation of flavors. Palate is super mineral with a stunning, cleaning mineral wash on the finish. Enormously complex and so pure. Really clings on the finish. So concentrated and intense. This is a massive step up from the VV. Stunning wine.

Classic Meurgers. Citrus rind and citrus skin, superbly mineral, wide and deep aromas. Dried tree bark, lime zest, nuanced, finessed and complex, superb airiness to the nose. Palate is so so mineral. Almost no fruit. Love it. Superbly elegant and so so pure with beautifully integrated oak. Superb inner mouth aromas and super juicy with a very sleek texture and wonderful purity and freshness. So good

Superb aromas, lovely mineral depth. Ripe citrus and terrific aromatic energy. Dried tree bark. Palate has oodles of energy and freshness and a lovely sleek texture. So juicy and complex. Amazing balance, finesse and purity. Terrific inner mouth florals. Concentrated, structured and so deep. Long windy finish.

Such a clean, minerally Meursault nose. Iodine, hint of butter, so mineral and linear. Palate is so compact. Juicy and concentrated with exceptional purity and freshness. Long finish. Very mineral. Good density and balance. Lovely mid palate density and opulence but finished acid and mineral with stunning texture.
