A tawny garnet edge to the bright red ruby colour. Gamey earthy aromas with animale. Also sandalwood notes. Light to medium weight - not a great depth of flavour. Probably better a few years ago. My first Sancerre Rouge (Pinot Noir) and a little underwhelming. There must be better examples of this style. A clean Wine albeit lacking concentration and complexity.
