Earthy fruit with minerality, cherry cola and dark spice, some oak present. Paired with roasted chicken & Comte potato gratin. Excellent.

Last of Peploes wine lot, awesome PN with that bit more, almost above its weight to Gevrey Chambertin league...

Classic burgundy. Aromas of graphite, pencil lead, blackcherry and plum. Rich, layered, and fresh. Underripe plum, blueberry, and cranberry on the mouthfeel. Fresh, crunchy, and lingering to finish. Drink now or over the next few years.

Second Chassagne-Montrachet of the night. This time a Premier Cru. We note that this wine has a wax cover under the foil. Retains the primary fruit on the nose much more than the Vieilles Vignes we had before.
