WOW! Earthy, deep, dark & serious!! Bandol is a name that has yet to really put its stamp on the mass market. But I really hope more people try these! Not cheap, but my god, get some beef Wellington and pop this one & give it an hour. Yum.

Classic herby dense Bandol. Probably need decanting if you are drinking or within an hour of opening. Luscious and good length.

Tasted in Bandol at the Communal wine consortium in the Centre ville. Heavy nose of tar and black fruit. Dark cherries and blood in the mouth. Medium tannin. Medium-long finish.

17- deep ruby-brown. Nose a bit musty at first, but then just showing age. Classic example of old Mourvedre - powerful, Syrah-like.
