Intense Syrah color from the southern Rhone, intense nose of flowers, fresh mouthfeel of spices and black fruits.

Grenache Syrah blend...I thought this was the jam. Huge body and spice upon opening, really mellowed out into a complex, cool, tobacco and alcohol, silky smooth wine

The wine was dark ruby in colour and offered an expressive nose of red and dark fruit, blackberry, coffee, spices, some black pepper, liquorice, leather, mushroom and underbrush. On the flavourful palate the wine showed cherry, blackberry, some coffee, spices, black pepper, liquorice and roasted notes, paired with medium-plus well-integrated acidity, medium-plus well-integrated tannin, moderate heat from the alcohol and very good length. Re-tasted the next day the wine had opened-up further and become fruitier. A medium- to full-bodied, balanced and elegant Syrah/Viognier blend. The wine already was enjoyable, but seemed young and showed good potential for further development in bottle over the next five to six years. We liked it; will buy again. 89
