Beautiful purple/Inky in color with a dark purple rim.
Strong nose of blueberries, bell pepper, black currants, plums, cranberries, earth, vegetables, vinaigrette, acetone, oak, vanilla, licorice, eucalyptus and black pepper.

Dry on the palate with plums, cherries, currants, oak, vanilla, bell pepper, tobacco, earth, leather, vegetables, vinaigrette, tobacco, bitter herbs and peppercorn.
Medium plus on the finish with soft tannins and tart strawberries.

Tannic Loire red with cab franc and merlot. Pretty spicy, black pepper, plum, and flint. Good pizza wine!

Apr 15th, 2020These La Grange Tiphaine wines (import from Jenny and Francois) are a must. The most nuanced, wild, complex, elegant, unassuming profiles. This is meaty. It has all the bloody iron rich minerals you could ever want. Herbal and mushroomy with screeching grip. The most minimal pyrazine Cab Franc, if green bell pepper isn't your thing.
