Beautiful purple/Inky in color with a dark purple rim.

Strong nose of blueberries, bell pepper, black currants, plums, cranberries, earth, vegetables, vinaigrette, acetone, oak, vanilla, licorice, eucalyptus and black pepper.

Full bodied with high acidity and nice legs.

Dry on the palate with plums, cherries, currants, oak, vanilla, bell pepper, tobacco, earth, leather, vegetables, vinaigrette, tobacco, bitter herbs and peppercorn.

Medium plus on the finish with soft tannins and tart strawberries.
A good Cabernet Franc blend from France. Unbalanced, but with nice complexity.
Still young and needs 3 years in the bottle to mature property.

A good food wine that would pair nicely with lamb or duck dishes.

Needs an hour to open up.

A blend of 65% Cabernet Franc and 35% Malbec. Grapes are grown on clay and limestone soils, on 60 year old vines. Fermented in concrete vats and aged in oak barrels.

13.5% alcohol by volume.

Tannic Loire red with cab franc and merlot. Pretty spicy, black pepper, plum, and flint. Good pizza wine!

These La Grange Tiphaine wines (import from Jenny and Francois) are a must. The most nuanced, wild, complex, elegant, unassuming profiles. This is meaty. It has all the bloody iron rich minerals you could ever want. Herbal and mushroomy with screeching grip. The most minimal pyrazine Cab Franc, if green bell pepper isn't your thing.
