2010. Poor man's Cornas. Intensely minerally/stony nose with a grilled beef note and bright blackberry fruit lurking underneath. Liquid stones and iodiney in the mouth, with a macho feel . . . Tannic but not too much. Long finish. Great buy at $12.

Very well balanced. Purchased in 2009. Integrated tannins, mostly primary, awaiting secondary aromas to develop...

Purchased in 2009. Rated first time, 156 weeks ago according to Delectable, I gave 9.2. I'm downgrading my review now, 8.5. The wine hasn't evolved into the promise I thought would be here. Yes, it's a competent wine. Dark fruits, some savory qualities, but somewhat muted in aromatics. Muddled. Not quite sure what the non-vintage blend provides to the drinking experience. I get how it could be useful to stretch production, improve lesser blend components...but there are plenty of competitive vintage choices that deliver more typicity. I just don't see why a consumer needs buy an average wine at this price ($30?) Service preparation: removed from cellar 1 day, decanted, placed in refrigerator to bring to service temp. A half bottle remains, let's hope it improves my outlook.

Good. Syrah outside my comfort zone but this was nice. Paired with WFM prepared meatloaf (uncooked in butcher section) and homemade kale Caesar salad (lemon, olive oil, Lea & Perrins Worcester, s&p, grey poupon, Parmesan cheese)

Not your typical Syrah. Nice acidity and some layers of flavor.
