More on the earthy side. A little cherry and kirsch peeking through. Elegant but powerful with some dry tannins.

At the time this was opened, there was a question as to whether or not it was just too young, flawed, or just not the best to begin with. The more I think about this, the more I think it is probably a combination of number 1 and number 3. I do not believe this bottle was flawed. Nose was sweet young plum. Entry was darker black fruits with some ash. The middle had a little bit of a stewed kind of character, which is the base around people saying it was potentially cooked. The finish was a little bit flat and blah. A little bit of herb, a little bit of black cherry, anise. Very acidic. Out of balance. This was not mine, but if I had a few of these, I would let them sit for about 3 or 4 years before trying again.
