Photo taken by my daughter as I, apparently, am "sucking" at photography 🙄
This is a great, simple chenin from Savennières that I like to taste once in a while. We had it along with a raclette (yes I know, again) and it was a great pairing.
Green apple, honey, wax, a touch of lemon too. The palate shows a massive acid drive, but it's not just fresh, there is some width and matter to go with it. Lemon juice and green apple touches that caress the tongue play around the acid drive and build up in the rear, before a long and fresh finish with the same fruit touches and a tiny waxy note in the very end. Chenin is well deserving all the recent rave, really.

I love chenin and more specifically from Savennières... Honey, green apple and chalk on the nose. Very fresh and acid driven palate, some width, some nice mouthfeel with almost a grain, a long fresh apple-y finish that goes on for ever. What's not to like here?

Nov 18th, 2023Apple, honey, a bit of hay and gun powder too. This is inviting! The palate shows a massive acid backbone, a very dry quality, some honey and apple notes all along, this expands in the rear, living a vivid and fresh layer that lasts for a very long time. For chenin lovers who need their fix of dryness deliciousness.
