Pale ruby. Nose offers balsamic/pine needle, bittersweet blackberry pips, Connecticut grown cigar wrappers tomato leaf and oolong tea. Completely unlike any other bottle I've had of this wine over the last approx 10 years. Light bodied, medium acid, medium minus tannin. Long echoing finish of that savoury/malty oolong tea reappears.

Baby CdP. Opens with midweight syrah, then grenache strawberries, finishing with some meaty notes. Good acid. Over-delivers as usual.

Great PQR at $13. Shows the promise of the 2018 vintage. Cherry, raspberry, tobacco, and pepper with subtle light tannins. Very good. Made with declassified CdP fruit.
