Silene Crozes-Hermitage Syrah

Still quite fresh, but lighter more floral aromatics are starting to emerge from beneath the dark fruit and brett.

For about $20, this is pretty kickass.

What a great drink. Right amount of red fruit. Just enough funk. Beautifully made and a great price point

Nice full-bodied, earthy red with tobacco on the nose and olive on the palate.

It's Chave. Very well made but a little disjointed right now. Violets and bacon fat for days.

Olives and smoke

Someone said "a little disjointed". Yeah, went back to it throughout the night to see if air brought it together. It didn't. Brett, reduction, olives, light red fruit and smoke. It's not good, sorry to say. Some will find it interesting, it's flawed.

For the money this is fantastic Northern Rhone Syrah!

Needs more time in the bottle. Tannins tannins tannins at the back. Sweet up front with tobacco right away. Dry. Another 2 years and the balance will be just right. Love the smoky tobacco flavor a though.
