Exuberant and ebullient ripe late season cherries on the nose. Smells like 15. Also lovey earth and mineral character. Palate is super ripe and rich with layers of sweet red cherry fruit and wonderful freshness. Girard nailed 15. Concentrated and deep. It doesn’t quite have the focus of 14:17:19 but it’s one of the better 15’s I’ve had. Long finish. Very fleshy .

What a nose. A knockout. So complex. So floral. Beautiful pure and detailed cherry fruit. Elite florals. Roses and violets. Wet moss. Just out of hand. So clear. So well defined. Amazing stoniness that props up all the other aromas. A stoney base if you will. Superb mint/tree bark/sous bois triple play. Wow. Really tremendous clarity here. Mesmerizing. Hypnotizing. Palate is so so concentrated and super pure. The depth is crazy. Amazing purity and elegance. Sick tiny berry fruit intensity. All the darkest red cherries in a bowl of very dark cherries. The palate impact and layered off the wall concentrated fruit is the story here. Wow. Some of the best fruit I’ve ever had in a GirardSappy and dense and really coats the palate and has amazing staying power. Just sick. So so sick. What an outrageous bottle of Girard. This has length for days upon days. So long. So pure. Fruit is just insane. If this had more elegance it would be a 9.5. It’s 9.489 really.

Brilliant nose. Girard did very well in 2015. Sunshine, late season cherry, mineral, earthy, gamey and meaty. Complex and finesse driven with sappy fruit, a nice hit of opulence. Clean and balanced and very pure. So silky. Great upon pop and pour but air really sends into overdrive.

Have not had this since March. Somewhat closed nose. Earthy, spices, damson. But the palate is the truth albeit a bit young. Dense ripe red fruits and beautiful acid and tannins. Amazing structure at this point. A bit closed for most normal people but I think with air throughout the day my score will go up. But Girard wrecked shop in 14 and it's even better than I remember but closed for now.

After an hour of air this has come together aromatically. Stunning depth of berry fruit, flowers, tree bark and mint. Palate had ample fruit and structure with great freshness and purity. A stunner.

Earthy and dark berries. Brambles galore. Supple and very fruity. Maybe a bit of heat on backend but also maybe youth. Juicy. Good structure. Inner mouth florals and tons of structure. Juicy and complex.

Nose is cherry perfume. Mellow but gorgeous.

Palate is cherry and cherry lipstick. Fresh. Juicy, delicious. Hint of cherry licorice.

Giraffe is a model of consistency. Never a bad bottle.

As this opens more gods cherry density. Wow.
