Glorious nose. So exuberant. Rich, dense black and red cherries. Cranberry and black plum. Gorgeous lift. Palate has great freshness and deep black and red cherry fruit. Very pure and terrific acidity fans out on the long finish. Really lithe yet classic dense, structured and classic Aloxe. Really ripe, sweet, chewy and dense tannins. Girard always delivers. Fruit set that is developing on the finish is fantastic. 2019 is a modern day 1999. As this airs it gains in opulence, sap and a little toasty oak. Ideally a few more years.
