Not usually a fan of extremely old wines and the "it's still going", when in reality it was probably significantly better 10, 15 or even 20 years ago conversation. This was a bit of an exceptional bottle that did not have that Kreosotey old Pinot aroma. As you would expect this was in a full tertiary state of evolution with vine smoke, Autumn leaves, mushroom, turned earth and a beautiful core of dried red fruit, from one of the better parcels just south of G.E. This really exceeded my expectations. You really couldn't ask more of a wine at this maturity.
