Rich, buttery nose. minerals, high end peanut butter and deep sea air. Wood shavings. Palate is rich and velvety with top top texture. Such great acidity and cut and a wonderful, very integrated finish. Amazing sap and purity. As this airs it gets so elegant and even more integrated.

I love this wine. So good and so unique. Nose is so mineral. Hint of butter as well. Some smoke and flintiness as well. Palate is racy, rich and so pure. Great focus and length. So clean. This wine could get a stain out of a carpet. Superb freshness, concentration and purity. Long and sapid.

One of true great secrets of the wine world. 70% Chardonnay and 30% Tressallier. Nothing like it. Energy for days. Beautiful pillow like aromas. Candied but so barely it’s remarkable. Hint of confectionary. Stoney, so floral. Haunting. Just ridiculous. This is the best bottle of this wine I’ve had so far. There is such a purity to the aromas which are so unique because Tressallier is such a freaky grape. But it’s a fine aroma. Amazing palate. Such depth, density and acidity and a taught structure. The energy and intensity is incredible. So long, so mineral. Outrageous. This would compete in a line up of Meursault Perrieres. Structure to burn and a bright future. This will be best in 7 years I think. This is built like a brick house.

What a wine and age has really improved this from super great to profound. Nose is gorgeous. Hint of butter, ripe pair, apple skins, lime blossom and intriguing and deep minerality. Palate is rich and ripe but laser focused with amazing texture that is like icing. It’s so fresh. The Tressallier really is an important factor in this wine as it makes it unique texturally and gives it unreal freshness. It’s so precise and refined with terrific juiciness and lovely taut structure and incredible length. The fruit is lime and apple skins all the way. The purity is incredible as is the length. Complex mid palate and even more complex finish with structure to burn and incredible inner mouth aromas. What a wine.

70% Chardonnay 30% Tressalier. Stunning wine. The new new. Nose reminds me of a Lamy St. Aubin 1er Cru. Mineral, hint of framing wood, honey, beeswax, limestone almost, superb nose. Wonderful noble aromas. Palate is insane. Wow! Easily 1er Cru Burgundy quality with depth and richness to burn but firm acidity and incredible structure. Spectacularly long finish. Dense. Incredible wine from the little known St. Pourcain appellation. Has amazing aromas and purity after 30 minutes. 9.3 to 9.5.

Interesting contrast with the 2016. This is a little rounder to my taste. The 2016 was more chiseled.

Needs 30 minutes.

Nose is apricot, some elegant richness.

Palate is elegant apricot, a hint of apricot. Elegant richness. Almost some apricot pit. Some spice.

A wine from a random place that is very distinctive and also very well made.

Bought from gm fass selections.

The inimitable Grosbot-Barbara Chardonnay Tressallier St. Pourcain blend. A favorite of mine. Nothing like it. Nose is really terrific. Like elite 1er Cru st. Aubin. Airy, mineral and so aromatically refined. Classy minerals. Really classy. This is such an elite wine. Subtle spice. Hint of framing oak. So good. Balanced and super pure. Juicy, structured, clean and electric. Rich and energetic with a knockout finish. Amazingly precise and deep. Such a brilliant wine. It’s like white burgundy crossed with Anjou Blanc. So good
