Cuvée du Plessy Côte-Rôtie Syrah

So elegant. Classic.

A wow nose. Olives and wild flowers. Sweet berry fruit. Wow. Lavender. Violets. Purple olives. Incredibly floral. 9.6 nose but will add more complexity and layers. So elegant and aristocratic with terrific tannic grip but they are so fresh and ripe. Wow the inner mouth aromas are something else here. Terrific concentration and depth. Chewy, ripe and lingering. What persistence. Such a classic expression of Cote Rotie. Plessy is reliable and just textbook.

Lacked character and energy. Well balanced and very clean but almost too clean. Little length or complexity. Gained a little weight and interest on day three but this did not scream cote rotie.

Beau Côte Rotie à prix correct. Du poivre, une bouche moyennement intense et structurée mais avec fraîcheur, acidité et des tannins quand même acceptables compte tenu de la jeunesse et du style assez traditionnel, bien aimé.

Very nice Cote Rotie at a decent price. Pepper, nice dark,feuit too, medium bodied palate but with nice structure and intensity, very good despite the youth. 90-91
