Domaine Gérard Duplessis
Vaillons Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay
Chablis, Burgundy, France
Grapefruit and some pine on the nose. Intriguing, almost riesling-like nose. Chalky, saltwater taffy and spring water. Drinking well now.

Impressive concentrated nose that is weightier than the rest. Dense citrus fruits - reminds me of very good Mâcon but no mistaking the palate for anything other than Chablis though. Bright acidity buoys the dense fruit driven flavors.

Mar 10th, 2017The most open and ready-drinking out of the 2013 1er crus in the lineup. Ripe lemon and chalk flavors. More fruity and acid-driven.

Fatter and rounder than expected, not a bad thing though. Very complex, great minerality, I wish I had more.
