Straw gold color. Grand cru weight in the glass. Bright nose. Notes of lemon and citrus, saline ocean breeze, wet stones, tan spice and a touch of that Raveneau honey. Rich in the mouth but comes across as a bit disjointed as the acidity is a bit lacking vs expectations. Still, it’s a nice quaff with our tuna tartare, and scallops with tomatoes from the garden.

Aug 10th, 2020Straw gold. Youthful appearance. Lovely Raveneau nose. Notes of sea breeze, apricot, honey, white clay, oyster shells and a nice earthy spice. In the mouth it has an amazing richness matched with fine grain acidity and surprising length. Grand cru performance.
