Taken to Hawksmoor in NYC for our uncle’s 75th. Decanted in hotel for 7 hrs before dinner. Light to medium gold color, heavy in the glass. At first the nose is muted with light citrus and white flower notes. Late in the evening after 10 hrs of air this finally blossomed into the Raveneau they is known and loved. Notes of citrus fruit, ocean breeze, kiwi, white stone, white clay and tan spice. Acidity finally came on too. Great wine but still too young. Needs 5-10 years of additional age to be in the ”go” zone. 94++

The structure and acidity didn't come on until 5+ hours of air. When it did, this hit its stride and improved a point or two. Great Rav!
